Lawrence P. Casey, President and Chief Operating Officer Lawrence P. Casey is President and Chief Operating Officer of Southern California-based Donahue Schriber, a fully integrated, privately held real estate investment trust (REIT) operating in the western United States. The firm owns and/or operates a portfolio of 83 neighborhood, community, community lifestyle and power shopping centers, representing over 13 million square feet. Mr. Casey leads a team of highly skilled professionals at Donahue Schriber who have been recognized for their expertise and leadership in retail property operations, leasing, management and marketing. During his more than 33 years in real estate and investment, Mr. Casey has managed over $4.5 billion of assets nationally. Mr. Casey joined Donahue Schriber in 2000 as CFO and was in charge of the company's accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, strategic planning, human resources, information technology and office services areas and was instrumental in the restructuring of the company's debt which included a $475 million line of credit. Prior to joining Donahue Schriber, Mr. Casey worked with San Diego-based National Advisors providing senior management services to its real estate and lending clients. His experience as a financial executive also includes serving as an audit manager for the Orange County office of Deloitte in the Real Estate Industry Specialization Group. Mr. Casey received his B.B.A. degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Casey is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute and sits on ULI's Audit Committee. In 1999, he was nominated by the AICPA to serve on the American Arbitration Association's National Roster of Neutrals. Mr. Casey is also a California real estate broker and Realtor. He is a member of the National, California and San Diego Associations of Realtors. Mr. Casey resides in San Diego with his wife and two children.
