As Chairman Emeritus,
Thomas L. Schriber
brings four decades of experience in retail real estate development and management to Southern California-based Donahue Schriber, a recognized leader in the development, management and leasing of neighborhood, community and power shopping centers.
Throughout its 41-year history, the company Mr. Schriber formed with late partner Daniel W. Donahue has been credited with developing and redeveloping some of the West's most recognizable and successful shopping destinations throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Oregon. Mr. Schriber operated as the company's President until 2003 when he assumed the role of Chairman and CEO after the unexpected death of Dan Donahue. Mr. Schriber took a step back from his day-to-day duties as CEO in 2005 while maintaining his role as Chairman of the Board until his retirement in 2010.
Structured as a private real estate investment trust since 1997, the $2 billion company owns and/or operates 83 neighborhood, community and power centers encompassing over 13 million square feet of retail space.
A graduate in real estate and finance from the University of Southern California, Mr. Schriber began his career in the mortgage banking and real estate brokerage fields with Coldwell Banker. Mr. Schriber is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is active in the Urban Land Institute, a nonprofit organization that conducts land development studies in pursuit of innovative solutions for municipalities and private sector developers.
